About Ken
Our Approach
Born, raised and educated in the Northeast, after several years as a litigation associate with a large Manhattan law firm and with a judicial clerkship at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit under my belt, I headed off to South Florida to become a federal prosecutor in 1989. In the beginning, I prosecuted all types of federal crimes. In 1994, with my selection to a DOJ-SEC joint securities task force, I embarked on a career of exclusively investigating and prosecuting federal securities frauds, investment frauds and other types white collar matters. I moved to Colorado in 1998 to continue as a white collar prosecutor, joining the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado, where I remained through 2017. Throughout my tenure as a federal prosecutor, I routinely worked with cooperating individuals, cooperating defendants and whistleblowers in pursuing these matters.
Now in private practice, I represent individuals in white collar investigations and prosecutions and litigate business and commercial disputes in state and federal court. I have consulted on whistleblower matters from time to time for a litigation funder. Since September 2020, I have worked as an underwriter and general counsel for one particular litigation funder, LexShares, where I have underwritten and evaluated various whistleblower matters for funding and have overseen those matters which have been funded. You can find out more about LexShares and what I do for the company by navigating here.
In my spare time, I dabble with coding and learning about Big Data in an effort to learn new ways to bring empirical analysis to the assessment of litigation risk and the quality of legal representation.
